Immigration: The Big Step
Prior to the mid 1500's, there were no European immigrants in America. Many new immigrants come to America every day now, either by plane, or by boat. This is a good thing, and a bad thing.
Now, there are so many people in the United States of America. Immigration could be bad. This is because of population growth. If more and more immigrants move here, there soon won't be enough space for everybody. The country would be filled with people - and their trash. Their trash will soon have no where to go and will eventually be deposited in the ocean, creating pollution, and killing some sea creatures.
Immigration could also be a really good thing. As more people come, different ideas come with them, and help the United States' economy grow. Also, when the people immigrate, different ideas come with them. Some of them might become inventors and again, help the economy grow. Also, when people immigrate, they are usually tring to get away from their country, and look for a better way of life here.
Should their be a limit on immigration? For some problems, we might just have to leave it to the scientists for them to figure out. Immigrants arriving can be good and bad at the same time. So, the next time you see a scientist, tell him what you think, and your vote can change the entire world someday, whether it's for good, or for not so good.
